With the help of A-list guests like Snoop Dogg, Serena Williams, and Bill Nye, 22-year-old Kai Cenat has reclaimed the record for the most Twitch subscribers in a single stream. His marathon, known as Mafiathon 2, lasted for 30 days and attracted a staggering 727,694 subscribers, far surpassing the previous record of 326,252 held by IronMouse. The official count is still pending confirmation from Twitch.

During the stream, Snoop Dogg surprised Kai on Day 2 to discuss his upcoming album and showcased his luxurious Los Angeles home on Day 4, giving viewers an inside look at his recording booth, arcade room, and basketball court. Tennis champion Serena Williams joined the stream soon after, sharing her favorite fast food meals and revealing some coaching insights about her sister, Venus Williams. Renowned science communicator Bill Nye also participated, engaging the audience with various experiments highlighting scientific principles.

This subathon format, characterized by continuous streaming to boost subscriber numbers, was aptly named Mafiathon 2, paying homage to Kai's loyal fanbase, referred to as the "Kai Mafia." Subscribers contribute to these events to support their favorite streamers, with Twitch taking a small percentage in exchange.

Encouragingly, Kai has promised to donate 20% of his earnings from this marathon to a school project he is helping to establish in Nigeria. Although the subathon encountered some unexpected challenges, including a brief interruption from police due to false emergency reports at his home, the success of the event reflects the power of community and collaboration in the world of streaming.

Kai Cenat continues to be a dominant figure on Twitch, now boasting over 15 million subscribers and setting a high bar for future streamers aiming to make their mark.
