Polish forces scrambled fighter jets in response, while ground units remained on alert. The 300‑metre intrusion was detected by radar, marking a new test of Poland’s air defense readiness, officials said. “the nature of the incident indicates that Russia is once again testing the readiness of our air defence,” the statement read.
Moscow has not yet responded. The event follows a series of reported drone and missile activities along the Eastern European front, with Poland and other NATO members citing heightened threats. Ukrainian territorial losses of roughly 20% have intensified the region’s tensions.
