In a dramatic incident, three individuals have been apprehended in connection with an attempted bomb attack on the headquarters of Bank of America in Paris, following a coordinated effort by French anti-terrorism authorities. The attack, which was thwarted early Saturday morning, raised alarms amid rising international tensions. An initial suspect was captured at the scene after placing a device containing five liters of suspected flammable liquid and an ignition system near the bank, drawing immediate police attention.

Reports indicate that as of Sunday, two additional suspects were detained in relation to the ongoing investigation. The sequence of events unfolded around 03:30 local time, narrowly avoiding a potential disaster in the bustling 8th arrondissement of Paris, located just a few streets from the iconic Champs-Élysées.

French Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez hinted at possible connections between the attempted attack and the ongoing conflict between the U.S. and Israel concerning Iran, speculating that Iranian factions might utilize proxies to execute such threats.

"These types of conflicts often see increasing tensions manifest in various forms," stated Nuñez. "While there is significant suspicion surrounding this incident, the investigation will clarify the motivations behind it."

Amidst these developments, the Iranian embassy in France has yet to make a public statement regarding the claims or the suspects involved.

The investigation further revealed that the initial suspect, a minor, had escaped with a second individual who was reportedly documenting the situation, raising questions about the planning behind the attack.

As investigations continue, French authorities emphasized their heightened vigilance across transport hubs and other critical locations in light of similar thwarted attacks reported across Europe, including France, the Netherlands, Britain, and Norway.

The prosecutor's office in Paris has taken the lead in the investigation, with assistance from the Paris judicial police and domestic intelligence services, to determine responsibility for what has been classified as an attempted terrorist act.
