In a heartfelt goodbye, a community came together to honor the lives of three Pennsylvania detectives who tragically lost their lives in the line of duty. Detectives Cody Michael Becker, Mark Edward Baker, and Isaiah Emenheiser were remembered for their bravery, service, and unwavering commitment to their community during a solemn funeral held at Living Word Community Church in Red Lion.

The detectives were shot while attempting to arrest a stalking suspect, a painful reminder of the dangers law enforcement officials face daily. Surrounded by the flag-draped caskets, family members, fellow officers, and community members expressed their sorrow and admiration for the fallen heroes.

“They were gentle, they were kind,” Northern Regional Chief David L. Lash said in a eulogy. “They faced some of the most evil human behaviors imaginable with faith, compassion, and honor.”

Hundreds of police officers were present, lining the path as a motorcade transported the fallen officers’ bodies from the funeral home. The emotional service celebrated the lives of Becker, Baker, and Emenheiser, highlighting Becker’s heroism when he once rescued children from a burning building and Baker’s dedication to the community through his work in computer forensics.

Emenheiser’s injury in a 2005 rescue and accolades for his commitment to mentoring younger officers further contributed to his legacy.
