Marla-Svenja Liebich, a convicted German transgender right-wing extremist, who had been on the run for months, was arrested in the Czech Republic based on a European arrest warrant. The arrest took place in Krásná, approximately 100 kilometers east of Prague.

In August 2025, Liebich, formerly known as Sven, failed to report to a prison in Chemnitz to serve an 18-month jail sentence for charges related to extreme right incitement. Reports indicate she was a member of a neo-Nazi group called Blood and Honour, and was sentenced in July 2023 by the Halle District Court for inciting hatred and defamation.

Recently, Liebich changed her gender marker and first name in official records under Germany's Self-Determination Act, which streamlined processes for transgender individuals in the country. However, this transition has led to questions about its sincerity, with German media suggesting it might have been an attempt to evade legal repercussions.

At the time of her arrest, Liebich was reportedly wearing men's clothing and had a shaved head, which has further fueled speculation regarding her motives. Following her capture, she briefly attempted to flee but was ultimately detained, and is now expected to be extradited to Germany to serve her sentence.
