Empowering Citizens through the NEO Citizen Portal

The launch of the Citizen Portal under the New Economic Order (NEO) by Prime Minister Gaston Browne is poised to bridge the gap between governmental processes and citizen engagement. This digital platform is designed to provide direct access to information and participatory mechanisms, promoting transparent governance.

The NEO Citizen Portal enables citizens to see decision-making processes, resource allocations, and service deliveries more clearly. In essence, it fosters a participatory environment where involved stakeholders are recognized as key players rather than mere observers.

In Small Island Developing States (SIDS), this initiative is a transformative step towards strengthening democratic infrastructure. It aligns with NEO’s core principles that emphasize openness and human dignity. The Citizen Portal illustrates a model of governance where procedures are transparent and the participation of individuals is not only welcomed but essential.
