Ibiza Rocks, a renowned hotel and music venue located in San Antonio, announced the suspension of its events following the deaths of two British men, Gary Kelly and Evan Thomson, which have left the community in mourning.

On Monday, 19-year-old Gary Kelly tragically died after falling from a balcony at the venue, while 26-year-old Evan Thomson had passed away due to an earlier incident. Both deaths were met with shock and sorrow, and the venue expressed its devastation while highlighting its commitment to guest safety.

Following Kelly's accident, which appears accidental according to Spain's civil guard, Ibiza Rocks stated they are cooperating with authorities investigating the matter. In a formal statement, the venue emphasized that “the safety and well-being of our guests has, and always will remain, our highest priority.”

Gary Kelly was a player for the Dundee Stars ice hockey team, where his talent and charisma were celebrated. The Scottish club expressed their heartbreak over the loss, stating, "His loss will impact many in the ice hockey community and beyond."

Evan Thomson's mother shared her grief on social media, describing her son’s vacation with friends turning into a heartbreaking tragedy. "We are all absolutely broken," she wrote, mourning the impact of her son's death.

Ibiza Rocks, celebrated for its music events and pool parties, was set to feature various artists this summer, marking its 20th anniversary. The venue had an exciting lineup, including performances from rappers like Dizzee Rascal and Rudimental. However, it currently remains uncertain how many events are being canceled, with assurance to contact affected customers via email.

As investigations continue and the facility assesses its next steps, the community and patrons alike mourn these losses and reflect on safety during such celebratory occasions.
