Marius Borg Høiby, the 28-year-old son of Norway's Crown Princess Mette-Marit, has recently been charged with a staggering 32 offenses, which include four counts of rape, according to the prosecutor's office. The charges detail allegations of abuse against a former partner, alongside violations of restraining orders related to another ex-girlfriend.

Høiby, a product of a prior relationship before Crown Princess Mette-Marit wed Crown Prince Haakon, denies the most serious allegations. His lawyer, Petar Sekulic, indicated that Høiby intends to plead guilty to some lesser charges when the trial commences. If convicted on the most serious counts, he could potentially serve up to 10 years in prison.

The prosecutor, Sturla Henriksbø, disclosed that the charges also include filming the genitals of several women without their consent. Reportedly, the alleged rapes took place between 2018 and 2024, with one incident said to have occurred after Høiby’s latest arrest. The scion has faced multiple arrests throughout the past year, with the first occurring in August on suspicion of assault, followed by arrests in September and November. By June, authorities reported he was under investigation for multiple rapes and 23 additional offenses.

The upcoming trial, anticipated to take place in January, is expected to last approximately six weeks. For individuals who have experienced sexual violence or abuse, resources and support options are available through various channels.
