American rapper Kanye West has announced the postponement of an upcoming concert in Marseille, France, until further notice. This announcement comes just a week after the cancellation of the Wireless Festival, which West was scheduled to headline, following the UK government's decision to bar him from entering the country.

French media reported that Interior Minister Laurent Nunez was considering banning the June 11 gig, with sources indicating that the minister was 'highly determined' to prohibit the event.

In recent years, West has faced allegations of making antisemitic, racist, and pro-Nazi remarks, which have led to public outrage.

In his announcement on X, West, who now goes by Ye, expressed that it was his decision to postpone the show, stating, 'I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends.' He further added that he takes full responsibility for his actions but does not want his fans to be affected.

West was set to perform not only in Marseille but had also planned acts across Europe this summer, including Turkey, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal, with a concert in New Delhi slated for late May. Despite the controversies, his official website still lists these upcoming performances.

While contemplating his return to the public sphere, West has made attempts to apologize for his previous comments, asserting, 'I am not a Nazi or an antisemite. I love Jewish people,' citing his struggles with bipolar disorder as contributing factors to his past behaviors.
