TUCSON, Ariz. – Savannah Guthrie is reaching out to her local community in Tucson, Arizona, in hopes of unearthing new leads in the ongoing search for her missing mother, Nancy Guthrie, who was last seen on February 1.
In a heartfelt statement shared on social media, Savannah expressed her gratitude towards the community and outlined their belief that someone in Tucson may possess information vital to solving the case.
Someone knows something. It’s possible a member of this community has information that they do not even realize is significant, the statement read. The family urged locals to reflect on their memories from the days leading up to her disappearance, emphasizing that even seemingly minor details might prove crucial.
In addition, they acknowledged the possibility that Nancy, an 84-year-old matriarch, might no longer be alive—a devastating notion for the family.
Police suspect that Nancy might have been kidnapped or abducted. Surveillance footage of a masked figure outside her home on the night she disappeared has been released by the FBI as part of the investigation.
In support of their ongoing search, the Guthrie family has offered a substantial $1 million reward for any information leading to Nancy's recovery, highlighting their determination to find her.
Savannah recently made her first public appearance at NBC's Today Show on March 5, expressing her commitment to returning to the show while prioritizing her family's needs and the search for her mother.
Tucson, an affluent community with well-known hiking trails, is located about 100 miles south of Phoenix and has become a focal point in this distressing case.
As the search continues, Savannah hopes that by mobilizing the community’s collective memories and insights, new information may emerge that could lead to a breakthrough in the case of her missing mother.
