Good Good, a YouTube‑based golf brand that has grown to over two million subscribers, pulled a Callaway advert after a clip showed a woman being pushed to the floor. The scene, filmed by co‑founder Garrett Clark, sparked accusations of lightening violence against women and prompted a swift apology from the brand.
The company released the apology on X, saying the video does not reflect its values and has been removed. “Good Good has always stood for making golf inclusive for all, and we will continue to ensure that the mission remains,” the statement read.
Callaway, which has partnered with Good Good since 2023, expressed disappointment in the content but thanked the brand for taking responsibility. The PGA Tour echoed the sentiment, stressing its commitment to inclusivity and rejecting any violence. “The issued video is unacceptable,” the tour spokesperson said.
The incident comes amid the rising influence of social media creators in golf. Good Good’s channel, launched in 2020, now hosts challenges between men and women, creates TV shows, and produces adverts for golf apparel. A partnership with the PGA Tour has led to plans for a new tournament, the Good Good Championship, scheduled for November in Texas.
