Jack Doherty, a popular YouTuber, was arrested in the Miami area on Saturday for drug possession among other charges. Police reports stated that the 22-year-old was filming videos while obstructing traffic, which led to his apprehension.
During the police search, authorities uncovered half of an orange oval-shaped pill known to be consistent with a Schedule II amphetamine, along with three suspected cannabis cigarettes.
Doherty is known for creating divisive and daring content, often involving confrontations with strangers and pranks. His videos frequently feature titles like I got kicked off a cruise and I crashed into a cop car, reflecting his penchant for provocation.
With a massive online following—over 15 million subscribers on YouTube, more than 10 million on TikTok, and around 2.8 million on Instagram—Doherty has become a well-known figure in social media. However, this incident raises questions about the responsibilities of influencers and the content they produce.
As of now, it is unclear if Doherty has retained legal representation. A request for comment sent to a listed representative on his social media was not answered promptly.
