In brief
The football icon Cristiano Ronaldo is set to embark on a new chapter of his life after announcing his engagement to Georgina Rodríguez, his partner of nine years. Rodríguez shared the news on her social media platforms, showcasing a stunning engagement ring accompanied by emotional vows in Spanish that translate to "Yes I do. In this and in all my lives." Despite the excitement, neither Ronaldo nor Rodríguez has provided further details about the engagement, maintaining an air of mystery around the announcement.
The couple first crossed paths in a Gucci store in Madrid, coinciding with the footballer's time with Real Madrid. Now, they call Riyadh home, where Ronaldo currently plays for Al-Nassr. The engagement has ignited fervor among fans and celebrities alike, with notable figures like Kim Kardashian and Piers Morgan expressing their well-wishes on social media. Ronaldo, who has five children—two with Rodríguez—continues to draw attention both on and off the pitch, including being named the highest-paid athlete by Forbes again this year.
