DICKSON CITY, Pa. — Emergency crews battled a significant blaze at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, Wednesday night. The fire engulfed a portion of the facility, particularly impacting the Orthopedic Institute, as seen in footage shared online showing flames leaping from the building's roof.

Fortunately, according to a hospital spokesperson, all patients, staff, and visitors were successfully evacuated, and no injuries were reported. First responders, including state police and emergency management officials, arrived swiftly to manage the situation, with continued efforts into the early hours of Thursday.

Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro took to social media to commend the bravery of the first responders. Thank you to every first responder running toward danger to help their fellow Pennsylvanians, he wrote, adding that his family was praying for all those affected.

U.S. Rep. Rob Bresnahan Jr. also expressed his appreciation, highlighting the professionalism of the emergency teams who ensured the safety of those involved. As of now, the cause of the fire remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing. Community members are coming together, offering support and resources to those impacted by the fire.
