Jonathan Andic, 45, the son of Mango founder Isak Andic, has been arrested in connection with his father's death. Isak Andic, 71, fell from a ravine while hiking in the Montserrat mountains near Barcelona with Jonathan in December 2024.

The initial investigation treated Isak's death as an accident. However, following a series of inconsistent testimonies from Jonathan, authorities reopened the case in early 2025. Jonathan has denied any responsibility for the incident, maintaining his innocence throughout the investigation.

A spokesperson for the family expressed confidence in Jonathan's innocence while he was questioned by authorities. After being taken from his home for further interrogation, he appeared before a judge who set bail at €1 million and required him to report to court weekly.

Jonathan joined Mango in 2005 and became vice-chairman after his father's passing. The fashion empire, founded in 1984, operates nearly 3,000 stores in 120 countries and was valued at $4.5 billion at the time of Isak's death.

Mango's CEO has expressed that Isak’s death has left a significant void but emphasized the company's commitment to honor his legacy.
