A man running a sex ring operating out of Dubai's most glamorous neighbourhoods, and exploiting vulnerable women, has been identified by a BBC investigation.

Charles Mwesigwa, claiming to be a former London bus driver, provided women for sexual parties at a rate starting from $1,000 (£740), stating that many women are willing to fulfill 'pretty much everything' requested by clients.

Rumors of wild parties have emerged in the UAE, though the reality is far grimmer; many Ugandan women believed they were heading to jobs in supermarkets or hotels but found themselves drawn into the sex trade.

At least two women linked to Mwesigwa have died, with reports of falls from high-rise buildings. Although deemed suicides, families of the deceased believe a more thorough investigation is warranted.

Monic Karungi, one of the deceased, initially arrived from Uganda hopeful of a brighter future, only to discover that the living conditions and jobs promised were far from what she expected.

Mwesigwa's network relied on intimidation and financial manipulation to maintain control, trapping young women in a cycle of debt and coercion.

Many of the clients are reported to be white European men, with disturbing requests issued that often center around extreme fetishes linked to exploitation.

Women recount that despite their best efforts to escape, they found no support from authorities, compounding their plight. Activists warn that as youth unemployment rises in Uganda, many more will fall victim to similar traps in the Gulf.
