A Maryland family is grieving and demanding justice following the death of their son, Dinari McAlmont, a 23-year-old who was discovered dead in the Bahamas under troubling circumstances. Dinari had been vacationing with his parents at the Atlantis Bahamas resort on Paradise Island when he was found unresponsive early Saturday morning.

His mother, Michelle McAlmont, spoke out about the distressing condition of her son’s body, revealing to Eyewitness News, a local Bahamian news outlet, that a photo displayed to her hinted at a brutal assault. “He was traumatized,” she recounted, expressing heart-wrenching disbelief that her son would take his own life.

Moreover, she noted that Dinari's hair was embedded with sand, indicating that he possibly endured the assault at a beach location. “I need justice for my baby,” Michelle stated emphatically, as she and her family grapple with the unexpected loss. “That would never have been how he would have done himself,” she added, seeking answers to their questions filled with pain and confusion.

The Royal Bahamas Police Force, led by Commissioner Shanta Knowles, assured the public that they are dedicated to uncovering the truth surrounding the case. “We will certainly do our best to get answers,” Knowles told Eyewitness News as the investigation continues, but the family remains in turmoil, feeling the heavy burden of their loss compounded by uncertainty and the desire for accountability.
